Agnetha Faltskog
Agnetha is better known due to her role in ABBA and not as a single performer in Sweden. ABBA was one of the biggest pop groups of all-time in both the commercial and global sense. As a teenager, she quit school, Agnetha Faltskog began singing in the band of Bernt Enghardt which quickly gained a following. She secured a recording deal with Enghardt. Her debut album charted in Sweden. After getting engaged, she was married to Bjorn Ulvaeus. She then joined "ABBA'. ABBA was one of top pop stars throughout the world over the time period of 8 years. They won gold and Platinum awards around all over the world. Following ABBA she released three albums - 'Wrap Your Arms Around Me', Eyes of a Woman' in addition to I Stand Alone'. All three were hugely successful in Sweden. They also gained popularity throughout Europe. However, they did not make a huge impact on the American scene. The music of ABBA was featured as the theme of a show on jukeboxes called 'Mamma Mia!'. She came out of her retirement to release 'My Coloring Book', which reached 11 at the top of U.K. chart. Her new album "A," has enjoyed a great reception.
